La Nartelle Sainte-Maxime

Enjoy Exploring One of the Region’s Most Stunning Beaches

Located a short seven-minute drive from Sainte-Maxime’s city centre, Plage de la Nartelle is a beautiful stretch of coastline that can deliver a fun-filled day out for the whole family. With approximately 800 metres of fine sand to explore, it’ll be easy to find the perfect spot to set up base and build sandcastles with little ones. Those seeking a more active holiday can try their hand at a wide range of water sports and games, while the more indulgent can feast on mouth-watering Mediterranean dishes while lying back on sun loungers. From sun-soaked relaxation, to a heart-racing extreme sports experience, La Nartelle can deliver an exciting afternoon out during a stay at Amarante Golf Plaza.

Sports Activities on La Nartelle

Those keen to try new water sports or make a splash other than swimming will be spoilt for choice on La Nartelle beach during the summer months. Attend classes in water skiing or wakeboarding, or simply hire the likes of a small boat or a one or two seater sea-kayak to explore the surrounding area. Pedal boats with slides are ideal for a more family-friendly option, while SUP, Stand Up Paddle, involves navigating waves while standing on a large board with a long paddle. Parasailing, bodyboarding and surfing are also popular in the area; however the latter is regarded as being better during the winter months.

There are also a wide range of summer activities involving inflatables that are suitable for all ages. Water Glisse Passion's Aqua Parc offers the chance to join friends and family in manoeuvring from one floating platform to another, some of which offer climbing or standing areas. Thrill-seekers can opt for a go on the ‘The Slyder’ or ‘The Ski-Bus’; both high-speed rides on inflatable shapes. Meanwhile ‘The Buoys’ can accommodate larger groups and consist of large circular floating shapes with poles and beams to balance upon.

Facilities on La Nartelle

Alongside non-stop fun, La Nartelle can also offer useful facilities and more relaxing experiences too. With free parking, disabled access, public showers and toilets for visitors, it’s easy to plan a whole day out at this stunning stretch of sand. Lifeguards are on duty from mid-June until mid-September to offer peace of mind for those taking a dip under the summer sunshine.

La Nartelle is also home to a range of private beaches, many of which offer comfortable lounge chairs, parasols and a range of delicious dishes from their restaurants. Take the opportunity to lie back and soak up the sun, before sampling the likes of seafood platters, traditional French foods and Mediterranean delicacies. Some of these spots also boast a private heated swimming pool, cabanas, live music and valet parking. However, the one thing they all have in common is breath-taking views over La Nartelle Bay; ideal for enjoying fine-dining while the sun sets.

Pointe des Sardinaux

Pointe des Sardinaux is an area of natural beauty located between Sainte-Maxime city centre and La Nartelle. This stunning peninsula is known as ‘Little Corsican’ and offers the chance to picnic under Pine trees and take in awe-inspiring views during coastal walks. It is home to a small sandy beach where the whole family can explore rock pools and snorkel in shallow water, while there’s also local flora, a WW2 bunker and Roman pool to discover. Parking is available at the side of the road, making this pedestrian-only area ideal for a short excursion on your way to La Nartelle.

With such a variety of attractions on offer, from luxurious lounging experiences, to exploring a rugged nature park and trying exciting water sports, it’ll be easy to plan the perfect family day out at La Nartelle.
