Aqualand Sainte-Maxime

Enjoy an Exciting Family Day Out at This Outstanding Water Park

Huge turquoise-coloured pools, looping multi-coloured water slides and straw-topped parasols, all surrounded by the lush, rolling hills of the Massif des Maures…it’s easy to see the appeal of Aqualand Sainte-Maxime. Located a mere 10-minute drive from Amarante Golf Plaza, this family-friendly attraction is generally only open during the summer months of June, July and August; ensuring a sun-soaked setting for a fun-filled day out.

Water Slides & Attractions at Aqualand

Aqualand has split its attractions into three different categories to ensure maximum safety and enjoyment for adults and children alike.

The first is described as ‘accessible to everyone’ and includes the children’s’ ‘paradise’ area; a large, colourful climbing frame. Especially suitable for littler ones, it features a slide and flume that lead into a very shallow pool, while its tipping buckets, fountains and sprinklers equal hours of fun. There’s also the chance to join friends and family in an inflatable, circular raft on the ‘Magic Slide’, or race them down four lanes at the ‘Crazy Race’.

The next category comes with a warning due to the stronger chance of slipping. Ride down the ‘Rapids’ on a raft, or opt for a trip on an inflatable dingy on the ‘Flying Boat’. Meanwhile the likes of ‘Kamikaze’, ‘Colour Splash’, ‘Dark Twist’ and ‘Flash Slide’ will offer an exciting assortment of downward twists, turns and loops.

Meanwhile, the last category is exclusively for those with more swimming experience and consists of only one ride. The ‘X-Trem Bowl’ offers an exhilarating journey down a slide that leads into a large open-topped bowl to spin around within, before entering the pool; definitely not for the faint-hearted. As with any water park, safety is of paramount importance at Aqualand, and alongside the categories, there are also clear instructions, trained members of staff and restrictions.

A Destination for Relaxation

While big-kids enjoy spiralling down waterslides, those hoping for a more relaxing day out won’t be disappointed either. Take the opportunity to soak up the sun on comfortable loungers or rest under sun-shades surrounding the pools and play areas. Alternatively, sit back in one of three large Jacuzzis, or take a dip in the 1,000m2 pool at ‘Surf Beach’, which mimics the calming movement of the sea with a wave machine.

Those seeking a little retail therapy can browse the onsite gift shop. With flip-flops, swimwear, towels, jewellery and clothing, this is the perfect destination to pick up a souvenir or any must-have items that may have been forgotten! Changing rooms are available and include lockers, so it’ll be easy to store valuables away until the end of the day.

Dining at Aqualand

Feeding the whole family can sometimes be a challenge, however with such a wide range of dishes on offer, Aqualand’s restaurant will cater to every need. From fresh salads and paella, to a variety of fast food types including hot dogs, chips, hamburgers and pizza, there’ll be an option to suit every taste. Alongside steaks, grilled chicken and a designated barbeque menu, there’ll also be desserts including ice cream and sweets. Visitors are also invited to pack a picnic, but cannot bring coolers.

With exciting rides, refreshing pools and delicious dining options, Aqualand Ste Maxime is the ideal destination for a family day out during the summer months.
