The 18 holes (par 72) of the international golf course at Sainte-Maxime are generously spread over 150 acres of beautiful undulating landscape, offering superb views of the Côte d'Azur and across Provence.
Sainte-Maxime golf course was designed by English golf architect Don Harradine, and built in 1991. It commands some of the best views of the spectacular bay of Saint-Tropez, as you wind your way through the intoxicating scent of the wild heather of Provence.
The course is situated between the sea, wild scrubland and forests of cork oak trees... and offers a range of technically challenging and entertaining golf amidst the picturesque Var countryside.
The course features a layout of elevated tees, steep gullies and water hazards which mark the outward 9 holes, dropping down towards the village of Sainte-Maxime and climbing up again to the Sainte-Maxime clubhouse and Hotel Amarante Golf Plaza.
The inward 9 holes at Sainte-Maxime are laid out across a plateau providing magnificent panoramic views of the Maures and Esterel massifs that provide the majestic backdrop to this stunningly presented golf course.
The Sainte-Maxime international golf course is accessible to all golfers (minimum handicap restrictions apply) and offers introductory golf tuition, with a variety of golf coaching courses available to guests of Hotel Amarante Golf Plaza. Facilities at Sainte-Maxime also include a 22 bay practice range, putting green and chipping green.
